After just a couple of days the left sandal was torn at the back near the loop for pulling it on. A day later the same happened to the right sandal although I was much more careful with it after tearing the first one. Never happened to me before. I’m extremely disappointed. This is not what I expected from $130 sandals, especially from Hoka.
The 7's were supposedly really popular for plantar fascitis. They still have tons of cushioning, but they fit totally differently from the 7. The 7 was almost a "straight last". The 8 definitely isn't. It runs narrower and doesn't have nearly the volume inside as the 7.
Hoka trail options. Xpost from r/running. this is probably futile (but a good sounding board for my own logic.). I need Hoka One One Trail shoes in my life. My current asic endurants are not giving me the underfoot protection I desire. However, very few stockists for me to get a good feel of the range. So I'm trying to work via process ofEvery review I’ve read or seen of this shoe praises the cushioning, but I don’t get that at all. To me the ride is very harsh and firm. The cushioning just feels dead or non-existent, and I don’t feel like I’m getting any energy return at all. I weigh about 145, so I’m not huge, but not really a featherweight, either.
